Driven Quantum Matter
Controlling quantum materials with light.
We are an experimental research group in the Department of Physics at Case Western Reserve University led by Prof. Hari Padma. Our work pushes the limits of light-matter interaction as a means of probing and manipulating quantum materials.
To achieve this, we build time-resolved spectroscopic tools across the electromagnetic spectrum, enabling access to driven quantum matter at femtosecond timescales.
Our research program extends far beyond the laboratory. We conduct collaborative experiments at leading x-ray free electron lasers and synchrotrons around the world.
